Fox News host Tucker Carlson received immediate backlash on Twitter after saying Kyle Rittenhouse, who was arrested and charged with first-degree intentional homicide for the shootings of two protesters in Kenosha, Wis., “decided to maintain order when no one else would.”
“Are we really surprised this looting and arson accelerated to murder? How shocked are we that 17-year-olds with rifles decided they had to maintain order when no one else would? Everyone can see what was happening in Kenosha. It was getting crazier by the hour,” Carlson said on his show.
Video from Carlson’s Wednesday night Fox News broadcast went viral on Twitter, with many people speaking out against his comments and saying he should be fired.

Well, things sure were quiet and orderly in Kenosha Wednesday night. It was downright boring on the live streaming sites. Some may say it was because they moved the ignored curfew to one hour earlier. My thinking is that a 17 year old not afraid to defend himself last night sobered hundreds of “revolutionaries” up. They realized they kinda liked their biceps.
Tucker has been TV’s most prominent truth-teller about the situation of the past 5 months. As such, the left has been desperate to try to take him down. This is just their latest salvo. If they succeed, watch out. If Biden-Harris wins, I fear that some day we’ll look back to the days when Tucker Carlson was on television speaking his mind the way Cubans looked back at the pre-Castro era or Venezuelans look back at the pre-Chavez era.
He should be giving a substantial raise for speaking up and telling the truth. The rioters are not peaceful they are at heart murderers and they need to be put down like rabid dogs (metaphorically speaking) before they bite, infect and kill others.

I watched it, read the words several times and can find nothing offensive or even particularly surprising about what he said.
He was not endorsing the shooting, he was saying this was the inevitable consequence of the authorities doing nothing.
