They are telling their people not to waste food, and to cut back the amount they order in restaurants. And now they are telling people not to hoard.

Hoarders will be beaten, imprisoned or shot.

But likely not as much as they claim, not all of which is so liquid, and not all of which can be put to discretionary purposes.
If there is a significant change in the balance between inflow and outflow, how quickly could those reserves be brought down to alarm levels?
And what happens if there are other crises that come along, which require reserves, like a currency or market crash?

China as we speak is raping the planet of ALL resources.

Visualize the effect of a billion Chinese suddenly deciding that it would be a good idea to buy a six month supply of non-perishable food.
