Unfortunately, I can’t comment on that as CA recently started trying to prosecute successful defenders from the 92 Riots again after dropping it for more than a decade. As such I will not confirm or deny any such actionable deeds.
All I will say is that this exists and there is a reason for it: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3877750/posts?page=83#83
I also would point out that I didn’t go for the excitement; I lived in an area that already had gang warfare and I could get as much excitement of that kind that I wanted whenever I wanted. I went because the cops weren’t coming, so they wouldn’t be able to ruin my then young life by showing up and doing what the cops do today and because in my view *someone* had to do it.
Many people have been protecting businesses in this year’s riots, too.
For example, months ago in Minneapolis: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ls6LCcjYWjg
I support people defending private property and businesses. IMO, though, a minor shouldn’t be out there. JMHO.
I encourage you to think about that carefully. The differences are very few when it comes to danger and responsibility. In the case of the military you face the same danger, but are at least hoping that the rest of your team will be there at the moment you need them. Sometimes they are, and the A10 ends the fight, and sometimes they aren't.
When you join the military you hope that your government and your nation will support you. Generally that happens, unless it doesn't and you end up bearing the brunt of society's changed ideas. In this case I would hope that the government and our nation would support people who are trying to protect property and trying to maintain law and order when the government is failing to do so. I would also hope that the government and the public would support someone who was being attacked by a mob.
But we are in strange times. In the past there have been a few times where the government endorsed mobs and persecuted those who stood against them. Not surprisingly the last time that happened it was also Democrats persecuting people who stood up to mobs. In those cases the mobs wore white hoods. Today the mobs are wearing black bandannas and clothing.
To see the public, and that includes you, attack a brave young man who was the real victim of mob violence is really sad. Why do you feel differently about him than a young police officer who felt the need to use deadly force to protect himself? Mr. Rittenhouse was in much more danger than the police who shot Jacob Blake.
Well then..I suppose its all something to be proud of hey?
Not really, just pointing out that the 92 LA Riots far eclipsed Detroit in pretty much every metric. LA made Detroit look like a kindergarten playground spat.
I read later that the cops told him to go home.
What the hell is going on here?

FYI witnesses at the scene report that at least 6 huge luxury motorcoaches arrived, a Chicago limo company. As the buses were letting people out witnesses recognized Miracle Boyd and others from the Chicago protests/riots. This was reported on social media.
Then the owner of this limo company claimed he was not transporting protesters but transporting “troops like we do every day” however the Wisconsin National Guard responded that they use their own transportation. The Guard does not hire limos or buses from Chicago.
Then the limo company owner said oops! Meant to say he transported military personnel from Great Lakes. But wouldn’t you know it? A call to Great Lakes naval training center revealed that they had never heard of this Chicago limo company. So who was he transporting to Kenosha and who paid for those 6 motorcoaches? And why was he lying about it?
There were high end motor coaches parked several blocks away from the rioting in Portland, too.
I am not attacking him. Based on what I've seen so far, he acted in self-defense after first retreating, and then he showed incredible restraint, even in the heat of the moment. Based on what I've heard so far, his intentions were honorable. If his motivations were not honorable, I haven't heard so, yet.
All I'm saying is that he was a minor doing what grown men should have been doing. Obviously, he was just as capable as a grown man, but now he is facing charges and maybe prison time. I'm looking at the situation through the eyes of a parent who raised sons. I do not know what this young man's widowed mother is thinking. If he were my son, I would stand by him, but also I would be worried, thinking of the charges he's facing and how his life might be threatened for years to come. I might not say so publicly, but privately I would be wishing that he hadn't gone to Kenosha to guard a business that night.
Thanks for the all caps, bruh.
Intelligent people understand that the enemedia has an agenda, and therefore we pay no attention to the bs that they spew.
There’s no hope for the lazy and stupid, so no point worrying about what they think.
You’re welcome, ‘bruh’. So, you’re basically not willing to counter communist propaganda anymore? Fine. Get out of the way, then. And may your chains weigh lightly upon you.
I’m basically not willing to make ASSumptions about what another person does, or does not, based on one comment on an interwebs forum.
We’re all on the same side here, so stop being a dick.
Raise the white flag of surrender and put on your chains. I’ve fought as a US Army combat Infantryman overseas and I’ll do the same here at home.
