In the first video, the kid didn’t run from the scene. He is seen trying make a call on his phone. Likely to 911. He didn’t start to run from the first scene until rioters started to threaten him. Also in the first video it opens with him running away from rioters already at that point. So we don’t know what happened before then?
He seemed to want to turn himself in, standing there hand's raised. By what happened before then I'm referring to what gave rise to the first confrontation. If the prosecutor can establish that he was provoking the confrontation, and if he confronted a window smasher and fired a "warning shot" in the air, he may have a serious problem. Which having the firearm illegally contributes to. If he provoked the initial disagreement, self defense goes out the window. Despite the fact that the shootings in isolation look like self defense to me. Here's hoping he didn't say anything on social media accounts.
