It could be seen as the perfect case to strike down any limitations to carrying for self defense. A visit to the Supreme Court could hurt the Left’s intent terribly.

The fact that he was there illegally is a big problem. Hopefully he had an FOID in Illinois, or he was possessing illegally there to. I suspect a lot will depend on just what he was doing prior to the chase. To me his later actions were clearly self defense, but if he contributed to the confrontation that led to the chase, self defense as a defense likely goes out the window. As I noted in another post, seems to me everyone chasing him could be charged as well. They were complicit in the actions which led to the killings. Should be the same charges.

I think you made valid points in both your posts.

Seeing how little it takes for someone to incite these
Leftists, that might be a hard thing to try and charge
him with. There are literally hundreds of examples on
the net were these Leftists have been triggered by
people just having dinner, walking home, still breathing...

Seems to me that some Conservative legal group should
take the case. This could be winding it’s way through
courts for a long time.
