There are a few things that throw a bit of a monkey wrench into a self-defense claim on his part:

1. He’s from Illinois. What was he doing in Kenosha, Wisconsin?

2. Can be legally carry an AR-15 in Wisconsin if he lives in Illinois?

3. Can be even OWN an AR-15 if he’s only 17?

1-Who knows 2-No, regardless of where he lives. Under 18 only hunting, and there's no open season in Kenosha. 3-Since he can't purchase on, probably not. Probably his parents. Nice for the civil suit

What does any of that have to do with a self defense claim?
