I agree, but I will say the police have been ordered not to
be confrontational. They are the least to blame.

No one will stand behind them if they did take action.

Governors, Mayors, City Council members, DAs, Judges...

Honestly, I think some of their non-actions are actionable.

They have not lived up to their oaths of office.

Fire them and if possible, file charges and convict them.

I would like to see someone actually do that - because then, when the case gets tossed out instantly, the people around the country will understand what has been settled law in this country for a very long time - the police have NO duty to protect you, unless you are specifically in protective custody. That certainly applies to those giving orders to the police (”I was just trying to defuse the situation by not having the police show up, etc., etc., blah, blah, blah”).

When that happens, then people will definitely take matters into their own hands - and this nonsense will stop very quickly.
