This makes no sense. The Guard is the state’s force unless federalized. If a gov wants troops he sends in the Guard.POTUS can send in Regulars if requested or if situation is out of control, Detroit ‘67 when LBJ sent 82nd Airborne, but Trump offering the Guard is like a guest offering his host a drink from the host’s bar.

It makes perfect sense when you factor in that the politicians are working hand in glove behind the scenes with the rioters and the police are not sincere about stopping the riots. Both the police and the people's elected representatives know full well these are riots, not "protests". Both [the Police and politicians] have a reason for what they are doing, but what is it? Are the citizen's brains to befuddled by medical marijuana to figure what is happening? Can the Citizens where these things are happening not distinguish between a protest and riot? A protest is where they voice an opinion. A riot is where they burn your home, your business, steal the goods in your building, and stop your vehicle break the glass and drag you out and maul and maim you, or kill you. I would say that there is a big difference but that is just me. And anyway, it is not my home, my business, or my ass, that is being destroyed.

The people [voters] need to raise holy hell. They pay high taxes to keep and maintain Police Departments and Fire Departments. The next one that happens, the Citizens have no one to blame but them selves.

If the Gov calls in the Guard then the state has to pay for them. If the Prez activates the Guard, then federal funds pay for them.
