Watching the Weather Channel’s webcam in Cameron La, I can’t but help wonder if there are any people there who decided to ride it out?

One of the storm chasers set remote cameras in various locations. The Cameron feed is one of those.

Was listening to a feed from a local station near Cameron (don’t remember now which one).

The director of the Cameron emergency agency was being interviewed and said they had about 150 who were staying put.

NBC reported that 150 people chose to stay in Cameron. I’m not sure how they came to that conclusion?

It was also reported that the storm surge in Cameron was 11 feet.
