After only a couple hours rioters have set multiple buildings on fire, looting and methodically smashing windows on one building after another.
Camera crews and national guard are standing in place on the courthouse block, but the vast bulk of rioting is elsewhere.
There are several reports of shooting, and I've seen heavily armed private security at a still operating gas station shown. (look like regular civilians not pro)

Yea having National Guard doesn’t mean shit if they’re not authorized to actually DO anything. In nearby Louisville KY we had National Guard presence and a “curfew” for a whole flippin WEEK. Didn’t accomplish a damn thing as the curfew apparently didn’t apply to the protesters plus there was a shootout between a group of ppl at a West End (read: ghetto) business and the Guard, black business owner died in the crossfire so it just spun up the protesters all that much more. Rumors are flying that there is to be a massive protest all over Louisville today (Tues the 25th) but according to our idiot Dem city mayor, ‘These protesters are largely peaceful, but if anything happens, we’ll be ready’ and ‘Public safety is our #1 priority’
Based on what others here are saying the Guard is only there to be targets. It’s wrong and Gov. Evers should pay the price if any of them are hurt.

CNN reporting that the Church was still having services and could have been a source for COVID so they burnt it down for public safety. /s

The Nat. Guard is there. It’s not clear that they’ve been authorized to do anything.
Looks like they are standing guard at city buildings is all. I assume the idea is to free up more local police to deal with the chaos
