After only a couple hours rioters have set multiple buildings on fire, looting and methodically smashing windows on one building after another.
Camera crews and national guard are standing in place on the courthouse block, but the vast bulk of rioting is elsewhere.
There are several reports of shooting, and I've seen heavily armed private security at a still operating gas station shown. (look like regular civilians not pro)

The mayor is to blame for not stopping this cold.
Let the police do what they need to and ask for the National Guard to come in ready to deal with it.
The Nat. Guard is there. It’s not clear that they’ve been authorized to do anything.
Looks like the fire department is ordered to stand down.
This is domestic terrorism, far worse than last night.

And the ‘cops’ went around with sticks and did Mulan ‘ho we move’ tactics. They’re useless beyond any idea.
I’m hearing national guard are only going to stand at courthouse, not authorized to do anything about the bulk of rioting elsewhere. Defensive posture.
Can’t believe these cops just sit back and watch these people...They could end this in minutes if they wanted to. And if their political bosses tell them not to do their jobs which the taxpayer are paying them to do, they need to quit and find legitimate work.
On the live feed I posted a witness just said he has seen a group of Antifa setting the fires. I say catch them and throw them all in one of the burning buildings.

I have a close relative in the Wisconsin National Guard - the soldiers have no idea why they are in Kenosha.
I haven't been able to find any real updates for about an hour.

By being sent the authorization to do what is necessary should be implicit and the default option.
