Good evening, luvie...”extraordinary” is a very apt description of what he did.
Fingers crossed that you will be able to be in those captain classes.
Welcome to the Canteen, Left2Right...glad you enjoyed reading about this hero.
Poor Penny...she knows she is safe with you, but that’s not enough. Glad the thunder is gone.
Ugh! Still mighty hot there but at least your aren’t dealing with triple digits. It’s a start in the right direction.
We’re supposed to be around 90 or a little above the next couple of days. Might get some rain out of TS Laura when it passes over TN later this week. Most will hit the west side of the state.
I haven’t walked out to look at the cotton to see if bolls are forming yet. I imagine some of the early flowers have dropped and bolls are forming. It’s been so dry the plants didn’t waste a lot of energy producing flowers for a while. There are a lot blooming right now since we’ve had a little bit of rain the past several days. If we’d had rain when the first ones started blooming last month, they’d be finished now - - which would have made our sinuses happy. LOL
Good evening, Mooch...it’s trying, but not very hard, to rain here. It would be great to have a good, long, sustained rain for several hours.
Hope you are having pleasant weather. Do you have enough open businesses to be relatively “normal”? Are you able to gets the things you need?
The one thing I haven’t been able to get since this mess started...hand wipes...are finally starting to be available.
The fact that he survived was also extraordinary! He had to be in such pain!
Want!
Want!
I hope the new blooms don’t reverse the happy to your sinuses. We have ragweed still and various other sneezy stuff.
Tomorrow night the temp is supposed to go down to about 72. I wish I could just spend the night outside without being eaten alive. LOL!
Read that last sentence again. I said if the flowers had bloomed last month like they should have, they’d be finished now and that would have made our sinuses happy.
As it’s worked out, a few bloom each time it rains and it’s dragged out the process. Our sinuses have been unhappy all along. LOL Even the cats have had problems.
They need to stop producing flowers SOON because ragweed season is closing in. We’d love to have a little break!
Glad you’re going to have decent temps tomorrow night. That’ll make it more comfy for sleeping.
How's everyone doing this morning?
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
Did you have another fine day for your outing with Gizmo?
Do any more yard work?
Oh, sorry, I think I’m too sleepy to read straight.
Steve has a thread about a shooting in Wisconsin, but I’m not modding. I totally support the police till I have a solid reason not to, and I don’t want to hear about more freakin’ riots.
Sorry. LOL! I am tired AND cranky. See ya tomorrow!
LOL! Not surprising you’re sleepy since you had to get up early.
I’ve had a stream up of the riot for a while. Steve was covering the two storms when I checked earlier.
Sleep well and late!
We had a great time a Comanche Lake, here are the pics.
It looks like it was a beauuuuuuutiful day there. Gizmo sure drags you all over the place, doesn’t he? LOL
Have fun (yeah, right!) cutting more vines today. Do it early before it gets too hot.
I needed to water the potted plants on the carport and while I was out, I went to the edge of one of the fields to look at the cotton. Yes, there are big, fat bolls on them now and more to come since they’re still flowering. There are STILL buds forming. *sigh*
