The lesson: for reasons of limited-government principle as well as electoral practicality, Republicans need to support legalization.

No, they don’t. Screw the stoners.

It’s only a matter of time until it’s legal everywhere in the U.S. And it should be. The era of throwing people in cages for using it are long gone for the most part.

I honestly don’t have an opinion on legalizing marijuana. I can see though, where it brings out the basement dwelling larpers who would otherwise stay in Mama’s basement.

The only reason I can think of that the fed has not at the very least remove it from being a felony , which is insane, is they like to use it as a door to open finding another crime. Only bad comes from making it illegal.

Is it better to maintain consistent support for limited government, and to win elections ... or to "screw the stoners"? I say clearly the former.

That's absolutely great advice -- make them take a camera phone pic of their ballot, showing they voted for Trump, and when they show it to someone at the campaign office, ONLY THEN are they handed a dime bag.

I can see though, where it brings out the basement dwelling larpers who would otherwise stay in Mamas basement. And when it does, the GOP needs to win their vote - which they can do while firming up the consistency of their limited-government stance.

If you somehow think that weed should be legal then all drugs must be legal.

Nobody gets thrown in cages for smoking weed or doing any other drug.Plenty of people are in prison on possession charges - are you claiming that every single one of them pled down from a more serious charge? If that's your claim, where's your evidence?

If you somehow think that weed should be legalOf course - just as the more addictive, more deadly, and more violence-inducing drug alcohol is legal.
then all drugs must be legal.
There are few if any other currently illegal drugs that, like marijuana, are less harmful than the legal drug alcohol. So the case for marijuana legalization is strongest. Also, prudence dictates that we legalize in a measured manner - which means starting with the least harmful drug and seeing what lessons we learn before considering further legalizations.

Just keep in mind that legalizing pot will be used as a method of gun control.
Your ID used at a legal pot store will label one as a drug user.
