Yeah, I saw the same thing and had the same concerns from his non-answer.

The thing I'd be prepared for is the slashing of tires. That's something these mobs have been doing lately.

I'd think that to prevent that, going a little faster than 2-3 mph would be necessary. I'd continually blast the horn, if only to disrupt their own communications. But then I'd increase my speed to 5 and then 10 mph and keep pushing out.

Anything faster than that could be interpreted as bashing into the crowd, which is what happened to that guy in Charlottesville who also made a wrong turn and was trying to get away from an advancing mob.

Slashing the tires is something I had not heard of, but makes sense. Sorry, that takes things to a whole new level. There is no stopping if you are surrounded.. Move slowly but fast enough they can’t get your tires.

If your car is disabled, you are done. Save firearms as a very last resort IMO no matter how gun friendly your state is. If things are that bad you WILL run out of ammo fast, so choose your shots carefully.

In a tactical driving course years ago we took the challenge to try to overturn a moving car- it was a mid sized sedan. 8 of us tried to lift it while moving at ~ 3 mph. A healthy fit young man can deadlift maybe 4-500lbs if motivated, and has both feet planted, trying to do so while the mass is moving is very much different- we eventually got it to stop by three lifting the right rear ( rear wheel drive) and once it lost traction, we began to roll it, however, we dropped it when the driver scrunched the emergency brake on a bit to regain traction ( a neat trick) and he took off , glad no one was injured. These were a bunch of Army, DA civs and a few folks who were pretty anonymous, all healthy studs. If we had blocked the path with a few guys and the driver stopped, then we probably could have flipped it in a moment.
