As we all know, talk of reparations for injustice is everywhere. But here’s a headline, appearing in the British Spectator magazine, that hit home to Virgil, old Roman that he is: “Italy owes Wales reparations for the wrongs of the Roman Empire.” The author, one Lloyd Evans—an impeccable Welsh name, that—declared:

Let me add my voice to the clamour on behalf of this island’s indigenous Celtic people. My family are from Llanelli in Carmarthenshire and I believe that my compatriots have an excellent case to make against the Roman Empire.

Interesting. My kin folk "suffered" religious persocution and ended up in New Amsterdam. Eventually 'participating' in the oppression relief from GB. Then 'participating' in defeating the Confederacy. Where's my check? LOL! How about everybody get on with their business.

What Do We Do if We’re All Victims and Victimizers?

Guess we all do what the Left craves and let the next Leftist Hitler take over our lives and county.

Soon but not yet.

The Ottoman Turks terrorized my ancestors in Hungary. I have written many letters to Erdogan demanding reparations. I want one million US dollars in the form of a certified check from a Swiss bank. So far there has been no response from Erdogan.

I think I know what the problem is. So in my next letter I will be enclosing a stamped, self-addressed envelope.

The Romans victimized Christians by throwing them to wild beasts in the Coliseum for sport. Many of them died brutal deaths.

The vast majority of my ancestors are Christian. I demand that Western civilization in general (and the U.S. and Italian Americans specifically) pay me reparations. Now!

Millions of Irish slaves were cheaper to buy about 1/2 the price than black slaves so do they get more money.

REPARATIONS FOR EVERYBODY!!!!!
ESPECIALLY MEN!!!!!

MEN definitely deserve reparations!

The male minority has suffered terribly from discrimination by the female majority throughout American history, and they show all the signs of an oppressed minority: decreased life expectancy, increased morbidity in almost all diseases, increased alcoholism and drug abuse, increased depression and anxiety, increased PTSD--not to mention combat-related disorders and the fact that for many years only men were sent to die in combat.

MEN DEFINITELY DESERVE REPARATIONS FOR CENTURIES OF OPPRESSION!

When you say that everyone is a victim and deserves reparations, you play into their hands.

Their answer to that problem is collectivism.

At one point the Romans considered the Britons too stupid to be made into slaves. They slaughtered thousands of my Celtic ancestors, and murdered our Queen Boadica. I still grieve for my murdered queen. I want reparations from the d@mn Italians, NOW, with interest!

The publication I have before me iş "The Historical Atlas of the United States" published by the National Geographic Society in 1988. It is an atlas sized book of 285 pages with full color maps and extensive documentation, charts, graphs, etc.

The total number of Africans brought to colonial America as slaves was 399,000. Page 40 under "African immigration in chains". The height of the slave population in this country was in 1830. The population of slaves had grown to 2,000,000 individuals. Same page and story.

Here is the eye opener. The Total number of Africans imported into Spanish America..................

(Cuba, Mexico, Central America and South America) was 1,552,100.

British Caribbean (Virgin Islands, Bahamas, Jamaica, Honduras) was 1,665,000.

Danish Caribbean Leeward Islands) 28,000.

French Caribbean Surinam, Guyana) 1,600,200.

Dutch Caribbean (Aruba and Leeward Islands) 500,000.

Brazil imported a total of 3,646,800 Africans into their country as slaves.

About 6% of the total slavery into the western hemisphere ostensibly ended up in the United States and of course slavery as an institution was still carried on in the eastern hemishere by Africans themselves.....yet when one is reminded of this terrible Scourge on the history of mankind we somehow seem to only be reminded of the evilness of the slave trade in the U.S.A. This also dispells the notion, promulgated by some, that slavery was somehow responsible for the economic success of this nation. If that is the case why isn't Brazil such an economic dynamo.....0r Aruba.....0r....you get my meaning.

This information should probably be presented when discussing reparations! I originally wrote this about ten years ago and I see this stupid idea is beginning to crop up once more.
