Stopped an armed man from reaching potential hostages...sounds like a good shoot to me.

Another dumb lug tanked up an array of ‘controlled substances’ on a Saturday, looking for trouble. He found it.

CNN/MS fairies have no idea what real life is like. A lot of them seem to fall back on the secular religious argument that since guns scare fairies more than knives and the officers had guns and the suspect had a "less lethal" knife, they should have been able to simply scare the suspect into dropping it...and only pulled the trigger because they themselves are scared, bullying racists.
The fairies should consider watching a few online videos showing how fast a fatal knife attack can unfold. Although they would probably just condemn them as fake...

And if he has a hostage with his knife to their throat, its a fraction of a second to slit their throat.
The person is a goner before the police can even react. Even if they kill the guy, its too late for the victim. They are dead and theres no going back.

Rabble-rousing attorney Ben Crump tweets the video and says
“Several cops surrounded a Black man and fatally shot him 10+ times tonight in Lafayette, LA! He reportedly had a knife and was walking away from police, but didnt deserve to die they acted as judge jury and executioner. We demand JUSTICE and ANSWERS”
https://twitter.com/AttorneyCrump/status/1297033186195771392
A lot of people on twitter going on about “Why didn’t police just tackle him?”.
Answer: no officer was interested in risking getting cut.
