I wonder if he kept his license after those two episodes..he was a licensed pilot in fixed wing and helicopter, not jets.
I wasn’t aware he had more than two incidents - there were actually four - one at Lake Piru, CA in 1999 in a training flight and the helicopter hit the ground, an emergency landing in 2015 Venice, CA - serious injury, one in 2017 at OC, CA when he overflew a 737 holding short of the runway and one this year at Hawthorne, CA airport when he crossed a runway when another plane was landing. That’s just plain carelessness...
Maybe the FAA should decide he needs to hang it up. Why hasn’t it been done?
