This is got to be one of the most naive posts I’ve ever seen on FreeRepublic. That’s not how anyone with an ounce of sense would handle this. When the Feds come after you you shut your damned mouth and hire a lawyer. You don’t say a damned thing your lawyer doesn’t allow you to say. Period.
This isn’t a slip and fall case. This is the Feds going after people associated with the President that the Deep State despises.
Your simplistic assessment is not remotely applicable in ths case.

And yet.....
You might be surprised at how often this piece of advice gets ignored.
I once had cops pounding the door almost off the frame. Scared the crap out of me. When they finally convinced me that they were real cops I went outside. Told them I had no idea who they were talking about...and they werent coming inside unless they had a warrant.
Not sure what would have happened had they not got a radio message while I was standing outside. technically, they could have burst in under exigent circumstances since someone was on the run and they thought the person was in my house.
Its easy to know WHAT to do but not always easy in the middle of it to do what you know you should do.
