Kolfage, a Purple Heart veteran who lost an arm and two legs in Iraq in 2004, was arrested at his home in Florida and is accused of being the main beneficiary of the scam, allegedly pocketing a staggering $350,000 of donor money while he and his wife flaunted their extravagant lifestyles on social media.
Newly resurfaced footage of the pair taken on June 24, 2019 shows the two men openly laughing and joking about peddling money from the border wall scheme, more than a year before the feds swooped in.
In the video, part of We Build The Wall's 'Wall-A-Thon' fundraiser to draw in donors to the scheme, Bannon boasts that they are on board Kolfage's 'million-dollar yacht' and laughs that the veteran 'took all that money' from the scheme.
'Welcome back and this is Stephen K. Bannon,' Bannon says to the camera, while sitting next to Kolfage.
'We're off the coast of Saint-Tropez in southern France, in the Mediterranean. We're on the million-dollar yacht of Brian Kolfage.'
The two men look at each other and laugh as Bannon pats Kolfage on the shoulder.
'Brian Kolfage - who took all that money from Build The Wall,' Bannon adds, while Kolfage continues to smile at his alleged co-conspirator.
Bannon then says: 'No, we're actually in Sunland Park, New Mexico.'
Social media users were baffled at the footage, which, based on the allegations made against the two men this week, point to an inside joke about the scam that was very much under way at the time.

Looks like he was joking, as they were at the building site, not on a yacht.
So, guilty unless proven innocent?
20 million dollars....Too much temptation not to dip into it for personal reasons... Who will miss a few million????
Yes. He said it directly to potential donors in a fundraising video. Now, was it a wink at their real intentions? I dont know.
How could you be surprised? Did you really think a wall was going to get built?
This is like the people who donated money to Joe Arpaio's "Cold Case Posse" so that Mike Zullo could take vacations in Hawaii while "investigating" President Obama.
The point of "crowdfunding" is to allow people to feel good about themselves.
Mitch McConnell wanted Moore to lose.
Holy God, she's hot AF.
Think she'll be waiting for him when he gets out?
Bannon always struck me as a bit of a huckster even running around trying to take credit for Trumps election win not surprised that the case against him looks pretty strong
I think so, as they have two children together.
Social media predominately has a negative net present value ratio. This sad and manipulative greedy tale is one example of the Tower of Babel syndrome, otherwise known as Social Media.
Usually when the feds have you,They have the goods because you left a paper trail ...Did he tell donors he would be paying himself from their donations....That could be where the problem lies...Annnnd hanging with Steve Bannon doesn’t help your case....
Steve Bannon, more than anyone else other than Donald Trump himself, won the 2016 election for Pres. Trump. That is simply a fact. Bannon understood how much middle America distrusts and despises the globalists and the media, and he led the campaign in taking the right message to the right people. Bannon never wavered and his aggressive approach carried the day when everyone else was running for the tall grass and getting ready for Hillary.
I don’t know if this wall project was unlawful in how it handled the money, I don’t know whether Bannon is implicated in that, but Steve Bannon did more for America in just a few short months in 2016 than very many other people do in a lifetime.
Could she get dragged into this mess????
Because experienced political operators (AKA swamp creatures) won’t work with him. I think it is a matter of having to work with a limited talent pool.
Same question as always: How does a great man with a long history of achievements in enormous and complicated building projects end up with such oddball and eventually harmful friends and associates?
I like Roger Stone a lot but I don’t think I would trust him or Manafort or Bannon with something important. Maybe Trump likes these types for their creativity.
Or, just build they wall out of the yachts.
Jimmy Soul has wonderful advice on marriage and avoiding settling down with vapid materialistic try-hards.
Yes, he did. He stuck to his guns when everyone around him was panicking.
