An image of Trayvon Martin was prominently displayed behind the child who recited the Pledge of Allegiance on Thursday at the Democratic National Convention (DNC).
The poster of Trayvon Martin depicts him wearing a grey hoodie and holding a sign that reads, I Am a Man. The poster hung in the background as Cedric Richmond Jr., son of Rep. Cedric Richmond (D-LA), recited the pledge from New Orleans during the final night of the live-streamed convention.
In February 2012, former neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman shot and killed the teenage Martin in self-defense. He was charged, tried, then cleared of all charges in 2013, according to Breitbart News.
Following the acquittal, former President Barack Obama addressed the verdict.
You know, when Trayvon Martin was first shot I said that this could have been my son. Another way of saying that is Trayvon Martin could have been me 35 years ago, he stated, according to the White House website.

Zimmerman [[What are you doing around here?]]"That would be zimmerman questioning trayvon"
In your quoted exchange that was the response. He answers the question with a question. That's not going out and questioning someone.
In any case, there is doubt that the exchange happened. What we know is that Trayvon ambushed Zimmerman. It wasn't Zimmerman who tracked him down.
Burglar, future murderer and wannabe gangsta Trayvon Martin
The story got national attention because of Al Sharpton, who may have assumed that Zimmerman was Jewish (Bob Dylan is Jewish and his real name is Zimmerman). Zimmerman isn't Jewish but he is one-eighth black (a fact the media never considered important enough to mention).
Honoring the criminal element, yeah this gets you votes
Now, now. Defend good grammar at all times!
Hands up; dont shoot! Oh, never mind; that was a different hoax.
No, See: Pam Bondi the then Atty General of Florida. Entire case stood on its ear.
Then check NRA-ILA archives. thank you for reading.
And another name-related fact-— Zimmerman’s father was a Virginia Magistrate, and his mom was Hispanic, a Peruvian.
Hence the interesting idiotic description by the LIB press of describing Zimmerman as a White Hispanic. Silly beyond the mentality and lack of it— beyond the words.
A White Hispanic. So— Spanish Caucasian heritage are White Supremacists.... dontcha know? Under the above asssssumptions.
Yep, he finally became a good boy in hood parlance. Usually translates to sociopathic urban predator across the rest of civilization.
"Then check NRA-ILA archives. thank you for reading."
I have no idea what point you are trying to make.
Yes, I know you don’t— go read the archives from NRA-ILA. That would be the National Rifle Association- Institute for Legal Action. You don’t know what you don’t know. No matter as to the Stand Your Ground law and its history.
Specific to this case.
Pam Bondi’s actions as FL Attorney General in re: this case are public information.
I don't know what point you are trying to make because you aren't making it. Telling me to read some archive doesn't help. There's a lot of things there, and you haven't said what it is you are referring to. If you want to say something, say it.
As for SYG, I do know about that. I know that existed in Florida prior to the Zimmerman case, as I said. I also know that "stand your ground" is not the same thing as self-defense in general, a point most people are confused about.
Hispanic seems to outweigh "black" for people of both Hispanic and black ancestry, so why did it not in George Zimmerman's case?
The Homer Plessy who is remembered because of the Supreme Court decision (Plessy v. Ferguson) was one-eighth black. He contended that the rules requiring black people to ride in separate train compartments from white people should not apply to him because he was mostly white. The courts did not accept that. But Zimmerman is just as black as Plessy. (Plessy is, I would guess, a name of French origin--probably originally Plessis.)
“The girl that was on phone with trayvon “
was a DIFFERENT girl from the one they got to testify in court.
The Trayvon Hoax: Unmasking the Witness Fraud that Divided America
by Joel Gilbert
When you read how many entities were involved in the substitution of one prosecution witness (who was on the phone to Trayvon Martin when he was killed) for another witness at the trial of George Zimmerman, you should wonder why this story is not all over the news.
By examining Trayvon’s 750-page cell phone records, Gilbert alleges that the key witness for the prosecution of George Zimmerman, Rachel Jeantel, was a fraud. He asserts that it was a different girl who was on the phone with Trayvon just before he was shot.
