Accused fraudster and former White House strategist Steve Bannon was aboard a $28 million yacht owned by a Chinese billionaire when he was arrested on fraud charges Thursday morning, according to reports.

The 150-foot mega vessel was in the Long Island Sound near Westbrook, Connecticut, when President Trump’s former strategist was picked up by US Postal Service inspectors, the Hartford Courant reported.

The boat, the Lady May, is owned by Guo Wengui, one of China’s most wanted fugitives, who is wanted in Beijing on fraud, blackmail and bribery charges

I would not be so quick as to buy in to an indictment simply because it is very detailed. I have some questions before hanging Bannon (even in the court of public opinion):
- did Bannon personally set up any of these entities or were lawyers used?
- was legal or accounting advice obtained with respect to any of the alleged acts? Typically, a wealthy semi-celebrity like Bannon would not have done anything much on his own...
- was Bannon just a passenger or was he driving the train? Did he even know the details?
- did Bannon choose the language used in the donation solicitations? Was he even aware of it?
- it is alleged that the $1m went to a non-profit controlled by Bannon, which then paid Bannon - would / could that non-profit have made the same payment to Bannon without the donation from the Wall fund?
These are just a few questions. I am not defending the man. But for me the timing of the indictment, eleven weeks before the presidential election in the middle of a pandemic, creates some level of suspicion that there may be less “there” than advertised. Time will tell.

The trouble with really BIG boats like that is one of them owns you, you don’t really own it. Indeed, the “owner” is much like the guy who actually deceives himself into believing he “owns” the 26’ pet Burmese Python that’s occupying his guest room.

Great to be a guest aboard such a boat, horrible to own it unless you’re worth well north of a billion $$.

People who have followed Bannon for years see this for what it was, a CCP orchestrated hit. Bannon was on the yacht of Miles Guo because they have been working together for years to defeat the CCP and free the Chinese people from their enslavement.

Guo is a former high ranking CCP billionaire who escaped with his life when he defected from the party and has devoted his life to removing it from power in China. He has a price on his head and must continuously move to avoid being kidnapped by CCP operatives.

His yacht is where Bannon broadcasts his new podcast which Guo subtitles into Chinese and rebroadcasts through the CCP firewall to the people of China. They are heroes to the millions of Chinese expats around the world who have formed the Free Republic of China organization in exile. There is a reason Bannon is public enemy #1 to the CCP especially now that Xi Jinping is in political trouble.

This and the VICE article on which it is based imply Bannon received $1M himself but in fact this was the total that was paid to 4 people including the $350K to Kolfage. The money was not used to pay for Bannon’s “lifestyle” since he was already quite wealthy and doesn’t need to skim a paltry $250K using a highly public 501c that is fully documented and monitored by the government. He is far too committed to the success of the boarder wall to worry about chump change like this.

The truth will come out but right now the feeding frenzy is doing everything it can to claim another Trump supporter scalp. Stay tuned.

Trump, Barr & Durham are smart to wait until AFTER the election. The trail leads STRAIGHT to OBOZO and will not help Trump if the race war triggered by Obozo’s arrest costs him the needed votes from the black community!

The money was apparently filtered thru several front organizations but it ended up in the defendants personal bank accounts. It doesn’t make much difference who set up the scheme (although it is alleged that the defendants personally did so) if the money ended up in their accounts after they told the donors they were not receiving a cent. And they attempted to hide and cover up after they found out there was an investigation.

The consciousness of guilt is overwhelming.

That’s a funny lookin’ border wall. Maybe it’s designed for the parts of the border that are along water.

“This is the $28 million yacht Steve Bannon was arrested on’

I was flying on a $300 million Boeing 747 jet plane not that long ago. With about 350 other passengers. Is that the same thing, or even better? Are you jealous, or what?

Ok, well you are not really responding to my points. If funds went (250k not a million, according to a previous poster) to a non-profit that would have paid him the same amount anyway, yeah it does make a big difference. The indictment says he set it up personally - does it say he did not use a lawyer or accountant because reliance on expert professional advice may under some circumstances be a defense to crimes requiring the establishment of intent. If four people are charged with personally setting up the arrangement, is it likely that there were varying degrees of knowledge about what was going on? Perhaps. I don’t know what the facts are and would urge others to realize that they do not either.

Yearly cost to operate would be about 3 million dollars. That’s why Donald sold Ivana’s yacht.

Thanks for the background info. I was fooled by the MSM spin to make it sound like Bannon is a tool of the CCP.

I’ll tell you what’s ‘damning’, is people like you who won’t stand up for our guys. You throw Bannon under the bus? One day, you’ll go into a Demonrat camp, and NOBODY will speak for you.

You’d stab the President in the back if you thought an indictment of him by the Deep State looked ‘damning’.

The facts alleged in the indictment are actually pretty simple compared to most crimes. It is a simple fraud case. They promised donors in exchange for money donations that they were not taking one penny in salary or otherwise when in fact they were. Pretty simple stuff.

A million ended up in banning account and 350000 in Koflage account. Koflage sent a written text to have his share paid to his wife’s name so he wouldn’t be publicly seen taking money after he represented that he wasn’t taking any money.

This is not going to be a difficult case to prosecute.
