Ive used them when traveling with others for business. I have an account myself but have never used it mainly because I usually drive a company vehicle for work and I live in an area with limited Uber and Lyft coverage anyway.
Im sure its a great service for the customers. My point was that it seems like a bad deal for most DRIVERS.

If so, the drivers would refuse to work for them until it was a good deal for them. The huge number of drivers seems to indicate that they thought it actually was a pretty good deal for them. But it's all moot now - California Democrats have taken away the option for adults to make up their own minds.

The uber drivers I’ve talk to were very happy. They can pick their own hours and rides to accept.
If you think it was bad for drivers, then don’t work as a driver for them.

Many drivers work for more than one service. They can also deliver carry out orders thru DoorDash or other apps that deliver groceries. It seems pretty flexible.

My point was that it seems like a bad deal for most DRIVERS.I see. I thought the same, too.
But I ask them that, and everyone seems to love it. They work when they want to, they like driving anyways, some even like LA traffic!
One lady said she loves seeing if she could get to LAX from City Hall using city streets over the freeways...
We did it!
