Victim in Parkland school shooting speaks out about former Sheriff Israel: ‘Used me for a photo op’

BROWARD COUNTY, FL –Back on Valentine’s Day in 2018, a lone gunman (whose name will not be mentioned in this article) entered onto the property of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and opened fire with a long gun, killing 17 students and faculty and wounding others.

At the time of the shooting, Scott Israel was the Sheriff of Broward County. He was later removed by the Governor for many reasons involving this shooting, number one because no one really investigated the shooter who had been reported to authorities many times prior to the shooting.

Recently, Democrat Scott Israel is attempting to be elected as Sheriff again and has sought out endorsements. He has received one, from the Sun Sentinel.

Law Enforcement Today would be remiss to blame all of the events of the mass shooting on former Sheriff Israel. After all, he was not the person that conducted the shooting, and he was not one of the many responding deputies and FBI Agents that dealt with the complaints.

However, he was the one who mandated what training his deputies received and how they responded to threats of mass violence. In both of these areas, he was arguably negligent.

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS Broward School district is notorious for labeling kids only with ‘disorders’ that meet the criteria to collect additional tax-funding from the state and federal government.

Once they get approved, Broward is not spending the $$$ on the kid. They mainstream all these troubled kids and collect the $$$ to enrich their system.

It’s an expensive scam, we, the people are paying for.

Since the beginning of 2015, Sheriff Scott Israel has been hopping around from radical mosque to radical mosque, getting his smiling face photographed with a number of known Muslim extremists in South Florida. It turns out, during that time period, he has had his own Muslim extremist liaison to introduce him to those radical mosques...... Also "in charge" that infamous day was Obama's hand picked pal from Chicago----Broward County School Supt, Robert Runcie.

Runcie got a $28,000 raise and additional benefits under his contract.The deal brings Runcie’s salary to $335,000 and extends his employment through June 30, 2023.

Under the new contract, Runcie would:
-- Be able to trade in 15 of his 29 vacation days for a cash value of $20,500.
-- Get $48,000 contributed annually from the school board for retirement plans
-- Be allowed to earn a pension based on four years of his service in Chicago,
estimated to cost taxpayers $80,000.

More than 30 people lined up mostly to praise Runcie’s work since he started in 2011. Leaders of local community organizations, businesses and schools praised improved student achievement, Runcie’s communication skills and inclusion and protection of immigrants and minorities under Obama's vaunted "Promise" plan.

Runcie collected $53 million tax dollars from Obama for keeping minorities off arrest records.

Then the massacre took place.

Runcie was named Supt of The Year.

Jan Jordan, is the Broward police captain who told sheriff's deputies to 'stage' and form a perimeter outside
Stoneman Douglas High School as students and teachers were being massacred inside on February 14.

Jan Jordan, 49, was in charge of deputies who responded to the first calls of the shooting in Parkland, Florida.

Broward Sheriff Scott Israel had placed Office Captain Jan Jordan in charge of the school massacre scene.

Jordan denied deployment of two Rescue Task Force teams that had arrived.

Three paramedics and 3-4 officers had rushed to the scene to help---but Jordan denied them entry.

Runcie looked mighty worried (below) when the Sun Sentinel caught up with him for the story of multiple
exiting school officials....all of them subjects of the murdered students parents' escalating anger.

Supt Runcie alerted School Board members of the departure of human resources' Nichols, head since 2015 who ignorantly
overruled the firing of a school security guard found sexually harassing students, including one of the murdered students.

Parents were outraged to learn that School Security Guard Medina was still employed by the school.

In fact, Medina was the first to see Cruz on school property carrying a rifle bag that infamous day BUT DID NOTHING ABOUT IT.

Runcie placed the blame solely on the exiting Nichols. “Mr. Nichols signed off on it,” Runcie said at the time.
“I was not aware of it until after it was brought up." That’s all the $400,000 Supt had to say.
NOTE: Harasser Medina and another security type whose performance on Feb. 14 was deemed ineffective were let go.

EXCERPT Many L/E agencies, after the Columbine school shooting in 1999, changed their training for responding to an active shooter.

No more would the officers wait for additional officers or for SWAT to arrive before engaging.

After Columbine, officers were trained to engage the active shooter as quickly as possible.

Apparently, Israel did not receive that memo, and did not change the training that his deputies had at the time.

The lack of proper training resulted in 17 students and faculty dead .......... and many others wounded.

Once the shooting started, the biggest failure of the Parkland shooting was nobody calling a Code Red (hide inside the classrooms and lock the doors), which could have been done by Peterson or any school employee. It wasn’t done, and it likely would have saved the students on the second floor, because Cruz was not entering the classrooms.

Peterson entering the building probably would have ended in his death as it did for the two adults who did confront Cruz, because Cruz had a superior weapon and position. By the time other police officers arrived, Cruz was already gone.
