I feel bad for those owner/operators who woke up this morning hoping only to sell some tires and now have to face this sh*tstorm because some corporate chucklehead in Akron decided Goodyear had to be woke.
Goodyear’s statement in response was pretty smart.

I drive a Ford truck. Discount Tire Co. was recommending Good Year tires as the best fit but guess what? A lot of conservatives drive trucks and cars too. Expect a reverse Goya- like results for stupid Badyear tires.
I will spread the word - don’t buy Goodyear products of any kind!

Did you check with Coker Tire? If they don’t have they might be able to recommend a source. It would also be good to let them know why you are suddenly in the market.
Recently on vacation, I had a hole in the middle of the tire, inside the tread and the Goodyear place said it was too large. They also said they wouldn’t fix a tire over 3 or 5 (can’t remember which) years old. They wanted to sell a new tire. Went to an independent place and it was no problem to fix.
I wonder if the antifa/blm mob in Akron told them to make a donation and announcement or they’d be a target. Still, I won’t buy tires from a company that’s decided to be political.
President Trump needs to put together a team at the DOJ to make the case that both BLM and Antifa are terrorist organizations. Once that is officially announced, then these corporate woke folks and the sports teams will have to explain themselves to their supporters.

I think that’s probably true, but most Democrats are in denial about what is politics and what is not.
Typical scenario here in Philadelphia suburbs:
My Democrat coworkers are always cheering the BLM anti police riots and the Democrat Covid shutdowns, and making hateful anti-Trump comments in front of me.
I defend Trump, but they hate him so much the conversation always gets ugly. I say maybe we shouldn’t talk about politics - and then something strange happens.
They look at me with a straight face and say “politics? who said anything about politics?”
And that’s the problem. The Left has the Democrats so brainwashed they do not think BLM is political. They say “The cops are racists - Trump is a racist - I don’t see what politics has to do with it.”
They don’t realize Covid shutdowns are political. They say “What is with these Republicans? Don’t they think this shit’s real? Do they think the pandemic is a hoax?”
I think the biggest problem in politics today is that the Democrats leaders lie to their own voters. The Democrat voters are ignorant but mostly innocent - they actually believe all this rioting is actually about equality. They actually believe the purpose of these Covid economic shutdowns is to stop a virus from spreading.
I ask them - then why is it the Democrat run states that want to stay shut down? They say because Republicans are morons.
I ask them - then why is it the Democrat run cities that are letting rioters tear the cities down? They say because Democrats understand this racism has to end and Republicans want to keep the racism.
They do not understand they are being lied to and exploited by their own politicians. They think politics has nothing to do with what’s going on. They think they are morally superior and anyone who disagrees is a racist.
