One Nation, an outside group that boosts GOP candidates, is placing its first advertising buy this cycle in Michigans Senate race, which pits incumbent Democrat Gary Peters against Republican challenger John James.
One Nation, a nonprofit organization affiliated with the GOP super PAC Senate Leadership Fund, has reserved $4.5 million in television, cable and radio time to begin running Wednesday.
One Nation is going on offense to promote conservative policies in Michigan that will accelerate our economic recovery and provide opportunities to thousands of Michiganders, said the groups president Steven Law in a statement.

Most polling through the summer has had Peters up by, in some cases, a 10 point margin. Politico reported an internal poll of the James campaign showing James down by fewer than 5 points, coming after a story about how national GOP groups had retrenched in the state.
James, a military veteran who is Black, has outraised Peters in recent quarters, but as of July 15, Peters reported holding nearly $12 million in the bank to James $9.2 million.
Though this weeks effort is the first for One Nation, other outside groups have already invested heavily in the race, with about $16 million spent so far, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.

I am very enthusiastic for John James
Reminds me to send some $$$ to James. I contributed to him in 2018 when he ran a good race but lost a close one. I think he can win this time.
Mitch Money.
Hes tremendous. We can take this seat
Great guy in a sh!t state. He won’t win. Detroit and Flint will turn their backs on the brutha, because he is everything they dont want in a candidate, intelligent, heroic and republican. They like their senators corrupt, stupid and with a D next to them. James should have ran as a democrap, won then switched parties.
This one was not looking good. Thrilled to see it competitive.
I think we have a really good chance on this one. He’s the only one who I can recall ever giving Debbie StabMeNow an actual challenge. And I think he’d do well. And just knowing he would take the seat Carl Levin once held for ages is in itself satisfactory.
James needs our help. He can win this state. Whitmer is not very popular despite what the slanted polls say and has hurt all democrat candidates running this year. I think Trumps wins and carries James with him.
James should have ran as a democrap, won then switched parties.
That’s what Dems are doing now. We just had Dems give massive support to a “conservative” challenger for a county board seat in my suburban Jacksonville, Florida county. He won, unfortunately.
