New York City officials will soon start the process of removing homeless people from the city’s hotels, Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) promised Monday.

“It’s important to note that as the health situation has continued to improve, we’re gonna start the process of figuring out where we can get homeless individuals back into safe shelter facilities and reduce the reliance on hotels,” the mayor said during a press conference.

It might have been a direct order. And that’s the great thing about the maze of federal, state, and local laws. There are millions of them. So you certainly can find one to justify whatever you want to do.

With shelter in place and quarantines they might not have had any business.

By allowing their rooms to become slimey pits for the homeless, they got some money per night/homeless person.

They probably have deep cleaning and retrofit payments guaranteed when their last homeless leave.

They probably have some great NY tax write offs!

There’s gotta be some empty rooms at Gracie Mansion that DeBlasio could use to help the homeless find some shelter.

It likely wasn’t the residents’ complaints; they beg for this liberal disease. It was more likely the hotel owners who wanted the money but are going to have trouble with future rentals since the photos and videos of these sidewalk crawlers came out.

And NOW who will be checking into those damaged hotels? Too bad, the hotels most likely will need to be gutted to remove any left over smell, germs, human waste, drugs, etc.....

LOL...what’s he going to do when they refuse to vacate? People who leave their homes for a couple months are at risk of squatters taking over and there is no way to legally get rid of them. They will do the same thing in the hotels.

There’s no way Wilhelm will call the cops to evict them.

The bums probably burned the bedding and furniture in the rooms. I doubt they used the toilets — most of them prefer squatting in the corner of the room as it is more familiar.

The rooms will most likely have to be completely gutted and rebuilt, not just “deep cleaned.”
