Its going to be a struggle to keep them as clean as we want them to be, if we have to go through with more layoffs, Hizzoner told reporters during his daily press briefing.New York CITY has more employees than most STATES.

Stange, isn’t it Mayor, when you tax your richest citizens so much that it provides them an incentive to move out of the state, resulting in less revenue?

Mayor BlASSio...you let it happen. You even encouraged it with your BLM graffiti in front of Trump Tower.

Most Americans would be STUNNED if they found out how much NYC municipal workers make each year. There are over 100 sanitation workers who make over $100,000 a year. Teachers, bus drivers, park department workers, all overpaid beyond imagination. But contracts prevent the city from cutting their insane salaries by even a penny.
And Pelosi wants U.S. taxpayers to "bail out" these Millionaire Garbagemen Next Door.

just to observe, he didn’t offer any strategy to deal with it
he didn’t because you can’t tax garbage, it doesn’t work and its an inanimate object, they already tried and found garbage doesn’t pay its bills

If I recall correctly, when citizens have organized to collect trash on their own time for free, they have been physically prevented from doing so by city employees.

I can’t wait for the Department of Sanitation to go on strike turning DeBlasio’s version of the Big Apple into the Big Stink. Even the looters will stay home rather than put up with that stink.

Weve got to focus on getting long-term borrowing from Albany so we can avert the kinds of layoffs that would make the situation you talk about even worse. That'll go over big. Every upstater I've ever met would be ecstatic to empty his pockets for Da City. Maybe "ecstatic" isn't quit the word I'm looking for...
