Not the sort of publicity that a candidate wants when seeking reelection.

So charge him now
Unfortunately that's a scenario likely to keep the appeals courts busy for the next thirteen years.

So the conclusion is that Foxx did nothing criminal. Is there any penalty or will she get an extra gold star from the corrupt Chicago machine?

In a sane world, incompetence or malfeasance would be punished by the voting citizenry. In blue states/cities, sanity is not to be found.

This is why Soros is spending big money to install leftist D.A.s. The power to prosecute or not, persecute someone for any offense, or ignore blatant crimes - IS the law. Trying to influence a few hundred elected lawmakers is a lot of work. Trying to install one corrupt DA is a lot easier and more effective.
its also why the Attorney General of the USA has become the most powerful and important cabinet position of all.

And what will happen to the DA. Is it all talk and No Action?
To: dfwgator
Improbable, yes. Impossible, no.
Three Republicans have held the Cook County prosecutor’s office in the last fifty six years. The successful Republican candidates were in office for a total eighteen years. The last Republican nominee to be elected was Jack O’Malley who won a special election and a regular election for a total of six years. After he was defeated for reelection in 1998, he moved and won a seat on the appellate court.

Yeah, Juicy did a bad thing, but Foxx has released lots worse bad guys over the last few months.
If anarchy is what they want, give them anarchy. Too bad for the good people in Chicago, but that’s what you voted for.

He HAS been re-charged for the same criminal charges this February 2020 by the same Special Prosecutor. Ironically, the same month in 2019 when first charged.

I doubt it because no double jeopardy and the investigation proved Foxx had no precedent to drop the charges according to State law, even though she claimed so.
