It survived the first three floods of this year’s big monsoon rains.
This sounds like a fourth flood now shaping up, so it may become another test. By historical norms, this would probably be the last flood of the peak of the monsoon season - or the first post-peak. We will have to see how it shapes up.
So many factors come into play, it takes real experts with real big data to project accurately. There has been a couple of weeks for areas to drain, and the dams to release their back up.
Sounds like the rain is now falling more upriver, behind the dam (Chongqing). Some of the earlier storms really flooded harder downstream from the dam (like Wuhan).

That video looks like it accounts for the increased water level, but not the force of the impact. I very much doubt that a wall of water that size would make a 90-degree turn to follow the bend of the river, without splashing over the bank in the process.
As bad as that video shows it, I think the reality would actually be worse.
3 Gorges damn is fine, they can just releases more water to flood the lower town like Wuhan. China don’t care. BTW, I am loving this new climate change....all the canes are in the pacific and away from the GOM! lol

I have been watching Epoch Times on Youtube for several weeks now. The message about China flooding cannot be conveyed in print. the youtube videos convey a message that is simply beyond words and numbers. Compared to this monsoon season in China, Katrina was but a drizzle. The scope of the china flooding is incomprehensible.
Numbers are given assume that China has the ability and desire to collect and publish numbers describing cope of the flooding. The flooding has been in process for at least a month now. On the Yangtze, there have actually been four separate floods with no recovery in between. That is, flood waters have been in place in some locations for weeks. There are two weeks to go of the monsoon
A popular video is of the flood gates of the Three Gorges dam and then commentary on how it is going to fail. That threat has never materialized so the videos are of traffic in the flooded streets. Rescues from the rushing torrents are also popular. One extremely common video is of cars and even an occasional van truck floating down the river. Floating cars are extremely common. Cars with water up to the windows by the hundreds are also common.
Epoch Times video verges but perhaps never quite reaches anti China. I think it may be a pro Falon Gong outlet. Any way, their videos are quite interesting and certainly provide China info not available anywhere else.

September is usually the peak of our season, but so far, so good.
So basically, China is flushing its toilet.
Your link has a chart in the bottom right, which shows the water level behind the dam (158 meters), and how much they are releasing downstream (increasing).
Don’t roast dogs alive. Don’t kill endangered species so you can get a boner. Don’t harvest organs from prisoners. On and on and on.
I thought the weather machine was in Karl Roves basement at least according to memes from the Katrina years.
The major loss to the CCP is not the people but the electricity generation.

Churches were shut down by anti-God Dem governors and now fewer people have returned in most areas than before the virus. Catholics are planning more school closures and consolidation of parishes. Some people may have lost faith. Many seem to question if God is allowing all this by some plan or merely to enforce his love for free will being preserved.
Personally I believe God never allows harm without it being part of a greater good. Even if we can't understand it at the time.
The reason you hear nothing is that all you heard before about the Three Gorges Dam was hype to sell papers.
