Correct me if I am wrong, but the US is a one of a kind nation where self defense is seemingly built into our genetic makeup.

Case in point is Vermont, one of the strongest supporters of the 2A, yet they have a commie as a senator.

Look at a typical voting map shaded with the blues and reds. Red is the predominant color all over the place with exception to large metro areas. Granted, the large blue metro areas hold the votes, but the red areas hold the guns and will not let them go like the sheep of Germany, Russia or China.

One can only hope. However, I have two adult kids and one grandson. Although they grew up in the country around guns, they have no serious interest in them. This is completely different from when we were kids. When we were kids, we couldn't get enough of them. I have never tried to force them into developing marksmanship skills. I will say that lately, both my kids have expressed interest in firearms out of fear of the times. Upon which, I told them they had a lot of catching up to do regarding their firearm skills. I'm anxiously awaiting them to start making the time to come back here to the country and start working on this.
