I was driving through Oregon yesterday and made sure not to even take Interstate 5 through that area. Citizens appear to be on their own when it comes to potential violence. I don’t so much mind that as the fear that defending myself would be the “bigger crime”.
Send in the keystone cops or the granny gangs. Do a better job.

I’m wondering why the police don’t respond in kind? Green laser the protestors, shoot mortar fireworks at them, pelt them with frozen eggs, water bottles and rocks, then just shoot them. Maybe this insurgency would stop if the rioters learn they are going to get to eat their own weapons plus some. Why play nice?
At about 11:17 p.m., officers reported members of the crowd were launching mortars at the police and cars well back in the Penumbra Kelly Building parking lot, followed by thrown objects. People began to trespass on the property. Portland Police gave public address announcements directing people to stay off the property, which was closed to the public. At about 11:35 p.m., people approached the front doors of the Penumbra Kelly Building, trespassing on the property. People in the crowd continually threw large river rocks at officers.
Portland Police gave more announcements and force warnings. For the next twenty minutes people in the crowd increased their violent actions toward police officers who were standing behind cars fifty feet or more away from the crowd. Officers reported having rocks, frozen eggs, glass bottles, and frozen water bottles thrown at them. Officers reported people were shining green lasers at them, which is against the law in Oregon. Somebody spray painted over a security camera on the Penumbra Kelly Building.

Law enforcement in Portland is a complete and utter failure. When the kids sass you, maybe you take it once and give a warning. Then you take control. Forcefully.

No arrests can go both ways. The “scuffles” that broke out were pissed off patriots with paint guns, rubber bullets and brass knuckles and the demon-rats began screaming. Most of the female thugs ran and the male thugs were pissing their paint covered panties. They had no idea what hit them.
As the weapons used against the police escalate, at what point does the mayor order the cops to do what is normal in such a situation? Shoot to defend themselves.
It should have been done months ago. It won’t be done. The hate-America radicals are being given full and unqualified support by the democrat mayors.
Police police should walk out. Then this would require a federal response to protect the federal buildings.
I really think it’s time for these two words: open fire!
Surround the city with active Army troops, say, the 82nd Airborne division or the First Cav.
