After the official 9/11 "Tribute in Light" was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, Tunnel to Towers Foundation CEO Frank Siller vowed he won't let that happen.
Siller, who lost his firefighter brother in the terror attacks, told "Fox & Friends Weekend" the lights will shine skyward as always, as will the solemn reading of the names of the victims.
"You know, it broke my heart. It really broke my heart," he said Saturday after speaking to fellow 9/11 family members and people across the country who were upset about the cancelations of the memorial tributes.

The Tunnel to Towers CEO made a point of saying he’d be hiring out of work Broadway electricians. I’m guessing those guys are all union. So the union should be all for this alternate tribute.

I'm not so sure about that.
I kept a suite at the Sofitel at 57 & 7th during the 90s when Dinkins was mayor and the local TV news was actually rooting for NY to "achieve 2,000 murders" in a single year.
I had loads of free time in the evenings, and this was before FOX, so I watched local NY stations and they were quietly "rooting for 2,000 murders}.
Anyone old enough to have lived in and around the NY metro area during that period, and watched the news will verify what I am saying.
After NY hit the 2,000 murders in a single year, Rudy ran for mayor as a law and order guy and he was a shoe in.
The city was absolutely transformed, for the better and New Yorkers loved him for making their city safe.
It could happen, again.
Could be separate unions.....There's the New York State Assoc of Elect Workers that likely work for the city...........
I don't know, it was just a thought.

That sentence is a lie... FOX should do a better job reporting the truth... or at least adding the word, "alleged"... Turning on two lights has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PANDEMIC... AND EVERYTHING TO DO WITH KEEP THE FEELING OF CHAOS AND PANIC GOING...
