The full truth is that the land was purchased for exactly what it was worth when blacks lived there. There is a lot of work and money that goes into gentrification. If blacks want to come back, some of these properties are for sale. And the law is that anyone can buy them.
But, this is the kind of stuff that will stop gentrification cold. Suburban houses just went up in value, downtown houses just took a hit.
A race war is just one white on black mass shooting away. Just one deranged person is all that is needed.
Time for hearty F-U’s, and throw the some piss on them!
But this does show the real problem, we need to “Gentrify” the entire country to get rid of the “Little Havana”, “Chinatown”, “Korea-town”, “Little Moscow”, “Black Neighborhood”, etc. self imposed apartheid zones.
Assimilate and live among your fellow random AMERICANS or GO BACK!

Most oddly in my little town in Central Texas was a Black Live Matters protest of which was most lawful. At that protest were about 4 or 5 armed members which in Texas is their perfect right. They marched around the perimeter of which was incredible stupid. If their was trouble they would have been immediate targets. This was just stupid and a show as they knew nothing would happen.
The protest was oddly directly across the street from my Antique Shop. I sat in front of my shop armed in the extreme with my friend but none of my firearms could be seen. You will not burn my shop down.
Oddly a couple of guys in a golf cart parked in front of my shop on my land. The cart had two American Flags on it. I asked them why they were here on my land. They said to make sure all is okay. I then mentioned that you are not armed. He just pointed to the back of the golf cart that had a blanket over it. He said, “I am armed.” I then just told him “you are welcome on my property.” Other shop keepers also guarded their shops.
There was no violence. The instigators of violence knew full well they would lose their ass.
...and if white people leave it’s “white flight”. This is juvenile - when your argument is that “you’re in the wrong” no matter if you decide up or down or black or white on anything...it’s just making sure that it’s a no-win situation to those that you oppose.
That is intellectually dishonest.
Sounds reasonable - the people they’re threatening are the same ones who vote left-wing. Let them start to learn about the people they are supporting.
I fully expect to see this in Portland very soon.
I know that in Portland those homes were run down, and the blacks were pushed out further. Gentrification isn’t “nice”.
Land values are extremely high there because of the Urban Growth Boundary. Back in the ‘90s they skyrocketed. Most of those homes were rentals, and it became too expensive for minorities to live there. So, the landlords fixed up the homes, and sold them to moneyed hipsters, yuppies, tech people who thought living there would be cool.
Money talks, no matter the color of your skin.
This is a prime example of how the liberals have kept blacks on the plantation, and now they are fighting back. I’ve seen it coming for years.
I don’t condone ANYTHING that they’ve done, and some of the locals are tools being used by Soros paid Marxists. Some of them are truly peaceful, and aren’t around for the late night “festivities.” Many of violent protesters are from outside Portland, outside the state and some from Canada. However, for some of the angry locals, the libs sowed those seeds, and now it’s payback time. They want what they believe is theirs, which is false on its face.
But, to quote Trump, it is what it is.
One more thing, Antifa started in Portland, and they’ve been very welcome there. I’ve lived through Earth First, ELF, ALF, Occupy, BLM, you name it. I think local/state politicians, even though they are socialists,have taken so much dirty money that they are afraid of them. Don’t even get me started on the unions.
Antifa has been a burr on Portland’s butt for many years. It’s not a new thing. They are just one of the reasons I haven’t been to downtown Portland in over 15 years. Portland has too many problems to address right now.
We live in the suburbs. If they head that way, we are considering packing it in, and moving out altogether.
