BALTIMORE — Maryland state officials have established a phone and email hotline for residents to report concerns about coronavirus precautions being ignored.

The Maryland Emergency Management Agency, Maryland Department of Health and Maryland State Police announced on Thursday the toll-free COVID Prevention Line is 833-979-2266, or email prevent.covid@maryland.gov.

The hotline and email address are available across the state 24 hours a day to report situations of concern where prevention guidelines are being ignored and the potential for the spread of COVID-19 is high, officials said.

This reminds me of the Soviet Union, where the public was conditioned to spy and report on others. If Covid gets worse, expect travel restrictions.

In this day and age, snitches get coughed on.

We’ll see if anyone gets a fine or is arrested.

I remember 1999 (Maryland) with the drought and gov Glen Denning’s ‘turn in your neighbor’ hotline for people using water outside.

In practice it annoyed some here but no-one got the fine.

I still don’t see any police enforcing the speed limit here.
Average speed on the 55 mph road is 80 mph.

Hogan is much about talk when it comes to his COVID restrictions.

NYS did this a while ago.

The state is breeding Karens, turning citizens against each other.

Interestingly, in my neck of the woods, it’s businesses ratting out other biz.

At one point some enemediot outlets were even listing the violators.

Which was fine with me. We knew who to patronize.
