Youre absolutely right, we will lose this Republic because of people like this. And the churches will lose themselves because of all the compliant ministers, bishops, and leaders of whatever kind who let their churches be closed by the government - without a protest, and sometimes even closed the churches without the government telling them to do so.
I live in Florida, and there was never any restriction on the churches (although there were some at local level, that is mayors), but most of the shutdown came from the church leaders themselves. Our (Catholic) bishop of an area with a RINO mayor who has shut down everything said his theoretical statement, and left it to individual priests to interpret it. Some require bookings for mass; some have come one, come all, no masks, etc. The churches that survive will be the latter group (many of which have the Tradtional Latin Mass, with better attendance every Sunday).
Very few of the Protestant churches have reopened for what they call in person worship, which I dont understand.
But in any case, the only churches that will survive will be those where people can actually be there in person. Live streaming, especially when they actually could be open, is not the same.
The other thing thats weird is that all Christian churches have spent their time blathering on about community, but just when it was most necessary, who were the first to abandon it? Christian leaders. So their churches arent coming back.
