The irony is that the city most affected by the riots of the 60’s was Detroit.

Detroit was decimated and in many ways they are still recovering today. At the beginning of this chaos the city of Detroit said “NO” and while they have had some riots the police have acted to stop it and it has not grown out of control.

Back in the late 60’s, Detroit was one of the greatest cities in America and it has never fully recovered from the great exodus that took place. It will be interesting to see if there are parallels to other cities or if these riots in Chicago will be the “Detroit moment” that Minneapolis has probably suffered.
