'Squad' membership likely to grow following progressive primary wins
Minutes after progressive Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota was projected as the winner of a Democratic primary where she was vastly outraised by one of her more moderate challengers, fellow "Squad" member Rep. Rashida Talib took to Twitter to celebrate.
"Our squad is big!" wrote the congresswoman from Detroit, who defeated a formidable primary challenger in Michigans primary just a week earlier in another contest that like Omar's grabbed national attention.

Minnesota is going to get everything it deserves, good and hard.
The only thing big on the “squad” are their arses. Left extremists are a minority in America.
I didn’t know to you America was some hard left-wing cities.
I just think some of you enjoy saying this doesn’t bode well for America. That doesn’t bode well for America. The other thing doesn’t bode well for America. Does anything bode well for America to you guys?
These four tramps terrify you that much?
Who actually thought these folks would lose?
Look at the districts they are in, and more importantly look who is following them now.
I mean even Nancy is following these folks, she is not “leading” them.
Journalism sucks these days. How about vote totals?
After looking it up, it wasn’t close. 66 percent to 34.
No it doesn’t, and you can thank 45 years of Republican wimps and traitors for importing this garbage because “they work cheap”.
Where’s all the patriotic assimilation we were told these people would undergo?
They have not only NOT assimilated, but are actively trying to tear apart the country for their own power and profit.
The Bush family tells us this is perfectly normal.
So it doesn’t bode well? Lots of people have been screaming that since the late 1970s. All we got was deafening silence until Don Trump.
They are alien enemies, nothing more. In no way shape or form did any of these people or their families have any hand in making the United States the country it is now. Why should they in any way benefit from it? Or have anything to do with running the country?
Their admission to our land is the spark of rebellion and war. It never had to happen.
It might say something about voter enthusiasm among the Dem moderates.
They want to destroy America..that is their vision..Omar’s vision is to turn America into Somalia..that is why Obama brought her and the other vermin here
That would be turnout. What was the turnout level?
High. 200,000 for the MN-5 primary. That's 200,000 guaranteed votes for the dems when November comes around, plus whatever the mail-in volume was.
I don’t know but the fact that the radicals won their primaries indicates to me that moderate Dems decided not to show up at the primary. The only stat I have seen for Minnesota is 21.7% turnout for their 2020 primary.
It was 150,000 without the mail in, 200,000 with the mail in!! I would say we have about 350,000 voters that did not vote in the primary!! We have a GREAT BLACK candidate and I am NOT waving the white flag yet!! I have more faith in the American people than thinking that most would elect a SCUM like her she is paying her husbands company almost a million dollars a year out of campaign funds, she broke ALL immigration laws and she HATES America!! Her district had been decimated and there has been NO MOVEMENT to repair anything in two months we will see 70% of the district is white and the Asian community will NEVER vote for this SCUM!!!
No, it certainly doesn’t.
The Dems are now officially a Radical Socialist party.
And there is obviously enough support in this country for that now to give us all pause.
Obama too.
GHW Bush started the Somali invasion.
She got here during Slick Willie’s time, Bush’s other son.
If it becomes a trend, it should worry you, too.
Not being a statistician, Im not sure if thats something to be concerned about, since it was only a primary.
But, unfortunately, I must admit that I am.
Sadly, The United States of America has sold her national sovereignty for a new roof and a nice landscape job.
Statewide turnout, that is.
