A Rasmussen Reports survey shows likely voter support for gun control has dropped double digits since this time last year.
According to the survey, 52 percent of likely voters support stricter gun control now versus the 64 percent who supported it a year ago, and the 56 percent who supported it in years prior to that.
Forty-seven percent of likely voters say they or someone in their household now owns a gun, and among those likely voters in gun-owning households 27 percent say they or someone in their family has purchased one within the last six months.

Guns protect people from criminals when the police cant

For years, gun-control advocates told us that it is the job of police to protect them. But now, the same people who want to ban gun ownership also want to defund police, replacing them with social workers who wont do anything to stop violent crime.
“Kamala Harris vows to take executive action on guns if elected president”
By Caitlin Huey-Burns
April 23, 2019 / 12:30 AM/ CBS News
“Upon being elected, I will give the United States Congress 100 days to get their act together and have the courage to pass reasonable gun safety laws and if they fail to do it, then I will take executive action and specifically what I would do is put in a requirement for anyone who sells more than five guns a year, they are required to do background checks when they sell those guns,” she said Monday. “I will require for any gun dealer that breaks the law, the ATF take their license.”
Sounds like a good campaign issue up and down the ballot. GOP in Virginia ... interesting in winning?
July 2020 NICS More Records, Headed for 20 Million Gun Sales for 2020

July 2020 was another record-breaking month for both National Instant background Check System (NICS) checks and gun sales. The total number of checks was 3,639,224, a record number of checks for the month, and the third-highest month ever. Both of the higher months (March and June) are in 2020.
As noted before, more and more NICS checks are being done for carry permits and carry permit rechecks. There were nearly as many NICS checks done for permits in July of 2020 as there were for gun sales, which is to say, about half of NICS checks are not for the sale of guns.
So all of these old and new gun buyers/carriers are not supporting their 2nd amendment?
BS!
I can attest to that, the number of new gun owners is growing rapidly.
Every day people come to the counter and tell me they’ve never had a gun and want one now.
Yes, an increasing number of people are losing confidence in the police being able AND WILLING to protect them.
Heels Up Harris, Congress nor the SCOTUS have the authority to violate the constitution!
Every “gun Law” ever passed has been unconstitutional!
They get away with it because we, the people allow it!
Here you go RNC, tie this like a mill stone to the necks of each and every Dem candidate.
Harris has controlled one gun we know of...

When seconds count, a social worker can be there maybe next Friday between noon and four pm.
The left pivoted to faux race outrage since they cant do faux school shooting outrage.
That’s the best thing to come out of this. Years of work and gobs of Bloomberg’s money down the toilet. Beautiful.
Nothing will change a fence-sitter’s mind quicker than when they need to buy a gun and run into the mountain of ridiculous laws restricting what, when, where, why, and how they can make the purchase.
No one should ever need to ask permission to protect themselves and their families.
Yeah, leftists are starting to gun up.
poll is horse shit
Actual Gun Control illiteracy and support is only single digits
I'm definitely seeing more open carry (legal in my state), and from these observations I can easily assume that there is a corresponding increase in legal concealed carry.
I also note that retailers such as Cabelas (I love that place) are still wayyyy down on firearm inventory, and handgun ammo is as rare as Joe Biden remembering what he ate for breakfast.
.
I’m even thinking of buying a gun if I could get enough donations to buy one. I don’t own a TS-12 yet.
