Bernie is your classic “liberal” so I can see why he might not support the president. But his work exposing mainstream media bias has been important.
Bernie was never a conservative. He just made money selling his books, where he whined that his former colleagues in the liberal media weren’t his friends anymore. It took him until he was close to 50 to realize that liberalism was bad? He also voted against President Reagan twice. So he only liked the Republicans from the late 1990s until 2008?

Democrat amnesty these days means expunging the criminal arrest record of looters and arsonists engaged in “mostly peaceful protest” so their prospective employers never find out.
Democrat amnesty these days means turning out multiple homicide felons on the street with a personal reconnaissance bond so they can continue to rape rob and kill while awaiting their trials.
Democrat amnesty these days means giving convicted felons in prison for rape, murder, terrorism and other heinous crimes "the right to vote".

It's because of the media. Most people (99%+) do NOT want to go through the crapstorm of a rectal probing nor do they wish to inflict that on their family and friends.
As a result, the best people stay quietly under the radar and away from politics.

Bernie is fighting real hard to find a way back into the spotlight, that seems to have left him more than 5 years ago. Previously his whole schtick was “media bias” toward the Left. The difference between Goldberg and the Romneys is that Bernard Goldberg DOES still want Donald Trump to win.
Mitt Romney and John McCain and other Never Trumps work to actively undermine his administration.
So Bernie is virtue signaling but by his encouraging others to take a stand as he is doing, he’s encouraging a lack of support on election day. Elections will always be determined by how many people go to the polls and cast a vote.
My city still has hundreds of thousands of Republicans who will listen to talk radio but never go vote.
I don't see any elected Republicans with the combination of backbone and charisma that Trump has. And we are short on conservative billionaires who can take on the entire Establishment and win.
Demoncrats love candidates with style. Candidates that sound good, Presidential, even god-like (Obama). I judge a candidate by actions. That’s why I like Trump. Does what he says he’s going to do. The art of the deal is not about getting along, bowing to every dictator with respect. We’re beyond that, we need action from someone who knows we’re getting screwed by China and willing to get his hands dirty changing the status quo.
If a few million like Bernard don’t vote or go third party, that could help.
He refers to Kennedy, Carter et al. as if they were giants of old.
I wasn’t there, but I’d bet in their time, people often lamented, “Is this the best we can do?”

Donald Trump has done a lot to expose “mainstream” media bias as well.
Oh the irony dropping from this hateful scourge because Trump is supposedly hateful.
