just curious, what law forbids the President from giving his nomination acceptance speech at the Whitehouse.

On another note, the Whitehouse should be called something else, as the term is blatantly racist, implying white supremacy.

Not a lawyer, don’t think there is any problem. The Prez said it would be economical to use the W/H. SS is there, no need for transportation costs etc. After all it IS his house!

Trump can do it anywhere, but the left is probably going to say if he uses Federal employees in a Federal building, it violates the Hatch Act. Meanwhile, every President since Washington was engaged in political or campaign activity nearly every day, in every place.
