KY may have gone for Trump in 2016, but Louisville has been pretty solid Dem as far as I can remember. Our next biggest city, Lexington, has a Repub mayor but if I remember reading correctly she’s the first one since 1974.
I don’t think that anything short of a public hanging of the police is going to satisfy the rioters. So it’s pretty much a guarantee that even if they get arrested and tried it isn’t going to stop the rioting.
In my opinion all of this rioting in the various cities has taken on a life of its own, with help from outside, and is not going to stop regardless. It is going to continue to progressively escalate.
Years ago I lived in Polk County Florida. The current Sheriff there, Grady Judd, has publicly stated he’s going to kick the ass of anybody that comes into that County and starts this crap. He has basically given carte blanche to the private citizens to shoot them if they are attacked. As far as I can see they’re not having any problems. The Lakeland police chief of course is another matter, barf-o-rama.
That would be great!
