I watched someone get caught by TSA with a handgun in their pants pocket, and the reaction was amazingly forgiving and polite. It was one of the most conservative cities in the country, and the passenger was embarrassed. The TSA guy told him to wait right there and call a friend to come get the gun. That was it. Very little delay. No charges. No confiscation of the firearm. Just no harm, no foul, and “phone a friend”. No point in naming the city, but it’s nice to know that even in TSA there are normal people.
