I’ve been reading. The national parks administrators want to discourage talk of putting more presidents on Rushmore because there would be no end to it.
The arguments against putting another profile based on structural deficiencies are weak. The original carvings were largely done with directional dynamite blasting. That is not necessary with tools available today.
Back to arguments for a new profile, many have said JFK should be there, others say without question Ronald Reagan should be there. It becomes a popularity contest. This I think is why the administrators have pulled out excuses citing structural instabilities and so on.
One administrator went on about how the current profiles Washington Jefferson, Roosevelt, Lincoln are now about them personally but a more extensive statement about our republic. To me, that’s nonsense. Every American who has studied American history understands why Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln are there, Roosevelt, not so much.
Now why should Trump be there? Yes, he’s popular but so were many Presidents.
I think Donald Trump is going to return the currency to a gold indexed sound money during his second term and this accomplishment will usher in a new Golden Age for America.
Trump will stand out because he will return the country to its founding principles unleashing freedoms that were taken away, restoring dignity to Americans, bringing a new focus to American industries, setting a path forward for all Americans to develop and use their gifts, end abortion and strengthen families, spark a revival in faith, reform the courts, and mot of all end the central banking system and its debt dominance in American lives.
Trump will be different from other past successful presidents such as Reagan because there will be structural changes that will be revolutionary and in keeping with the Founder’s vision.
And where would this new carving be on the monument?
