This week Governor Andrew Cuomo begged New York City residents to return to the city in the most shameless act of wheedling by a New Yorker since Mars famously importuned Nola, in Spike Lees Shes Gotta Have It, Please baby, please baby, please baby, baby, baby please. Used to live in NYC but have lately found the suburbs, or points south, more congenial? Andrew Cuomo will cook you dinner if you come back.
I literally talk to people all day long who are now in their Hamptons house who also lived here, or in their Hudson Valley house, or in their Connecticut weekend house and I say, You got to come back! Cuomo said Monday. Well go to dinner! Ill buy you a drink! Come over, Ill cook!
Ill buy you a drink is the cringiest of those promises since Cuomo has been closing dozens of bars for not complying with his arbitrary virus-related diktats, which include requiring tipplers to order food in accordance with some known-only-to-him provision of the coronavirus that confers immunity via purchase of a Caesar salad. But hes probably right about one thing: All of the people who are eager to move back to New York City could indeed probably fit in his dining room right now. It has finally occurred to Andrew Cuomo that the months-long electronic tongue-bath he received from media outlets such as CNN, which in the midst of the carnage pushed forward his own brother to serve as his interlocutor/publicist/comedy sidekick, has not fooled New Yorkers of means. Scads of the wealthiest have fled, and they are in no rush to return.

I love this stuff...I see other Freepers do it, and I never have the time...I do now, though...:)
>>>Babies, please GO back. We dont need you down South.<<<
EXACTLY what I was thinking! All those who came to Florida, and presumably brought their horrible voting habits with them, can head right back to NY!
Fantastic!
Both the governor and the mayor are unaware.
How can you come back if he won’t let you in?
I can just hear Cuomo singing:
“Baby come back, you can blame it all on me
I was wrong and I just cant live without you”
Very time appropriate. It even has “mask” in it!
Try Gavin, Maxine, Nancy, DiFi, all Sanctuary City Mayors, Hollywood
Yeah, of course we have terrible democrats in Calif. We also have the largest amount of voter fraud and precinct mismanagement here. All by design. Our liberal democrats have written the book on how to flood ballot boxes and use all the tools at their disposal to rig elections. We’ve been cheated out of elections since Ronald Reagan days. Our democrats have done everything they could to roll out the red carpet for illegal aliens. It’s all a part of how they’re rigging and stealing our elections and it’s only getting worse every cycle. They’ve now even legislated ways to assure them that only democrats get elected.
Are they using the same tactics to cheat in NY, so they end up with the Cuomo’s and De Blasio’s?
Thanks, that was fun...
(Not the best version, but very appropriate for Cuomo)

“I Know I’m to blame,
ain’t that a shame!
Bill Bailey won’t you please come home!”
New York City and State. Both are like an abusive boyfriend. Threatening, angry, manipulative, not trustworthy, dishonest, quick to blame, unforgiving, brutal. Until he needs something. Then it’s “baby come back. I promise I’ll never hurt you again.”
Until the next time he finds a way to use you for his selfish purposes.
Cupome and a NY taxpayer wo didn't get away.
Cuomo singing....
I always wanted to hear Cuomo “sing” to the authorities about all he knows of the corruption in NY and especially a certain famous duo in Chappaqua. A lot of money goes from taxpayers to mysterious sinkholes and not to the failing schools, filthy transit cars or protecting businesses from punky rioters. Where does it all go?
Cuomo: Drop dead, turn black and curl up. Ptooey!
Nice job!
Why thank you!
Oh yes, I should add that to the list.
There are many that are mentally ill just like him
Judge rejects challenge to New York quarantine order for out-of-state travelers
Locking up healthy people is legal in NYS.
And they wonder why residents are fleeing.
