Large parts of New York City were shrouded in darkness early Friday during a so-far unexplained power outage.
Philip O'Brien, spokesperson for Con Edison, told NBC News that the power company was investigating the power outages in Harlem, Central Park and Lenox Hill.

By the time I got this posted reports of power coming back on were surfacing. I posted because given the times we live in some day someone will post something similar and it will turn out to be the start of something major, either from without or within.

My PC wasn’t on, but black outs are terrible for electronics. People that have a tower computer should get a UPS, or uninterrupted power supply.
