As the controversy over the reopening of schools roils on, districts around the country have already opened their doors to students this week. However, many administrators have discovered that their student body is not on the same page when it comes to pandemic safety protocol.
An image snapped by a Georgia student on the first day of the new school year Monday showed a packed hallway with very few masks in sight. The photo went viral on Twitter, now with close to 93,000 likes.
The unsettling picture quickly became emblematic of the passionate debate, which has pitted parents, students, teachers, administrators and politicians, from usually close-knit communities, against each other.

Karen is going to be pissed. Leave the kids alone and STFU.
Break out the Depends, someone is about to wet themselves.

I agree. Protect the elderly and those with co-morbidities and let the teenagers and younger children QUICKLY achieve THEIR herd immunity.
A friend of mine posted that picture on her Facebook page. She placed the blame for this overcrowding squarely on the shoulders of Donald Trump (which is where she places most of the blame for anything that goes wrong in America).

The kids have all been in contact with each other during the months they were off school, and they know if there was any real risk, half of them would have dropped dead already. So the schools are asking kids to obey a rule that they all know is pointless. That’s not how kids operate. You can try to force them to comply, but the second you aren’t looking they are going to do what they want.
Sounds like Hannah comes from a “Karen” household.
It’s always Trump’s fault, except when it’s a good thing ....
Wish we lived in Paulding County. Schools closer to Atlanta are locked up tight.
The policies I broke stated that I used my phone in the hallway without permission, used my phone for social media, and posting pictures of minors without consent.
Nonsense.
They should not have suspended the kid.
You need better friends
I really think we need to not use “Karen” as a moniker for mask-shamers and people like little Hannah.
“Karen,” as far as I known, started out as a moniker for a woman who complains to managers about silly little things at the drop of a hat or maybe complains about valid things but in an arrogant, stuck up way.
What we have going on now is a witch hunt.
I propose “Abigail” as the name for the ratter outers in the age of Coronavirus, after Abigail Williams, who was the lead mean girl in the Salem Witch Hunt days.
Masks are useless, people. Those advocating them have NO evidence to support the efficacy of masks.
As a friend, she has been great. As a political sparring partner, well its getting old.
Prisoners are not allow to photograph the inside of a prison.
They are going to need to have mask and social distancing rules for the number of civil rights lawyers crowding in for this case. That might be enforceable at a private school, but students do not give up the right to criticize their government schools.
One of my friends had an editorial cartoon published when our high school principal was caught skimming gifts which a local business gave to students with good grades. Although he got a lot of heat for it, in the end my friend was still there at graduation - the principal wasn't.
So very tired of people who do not understand the human immune system. Will everyone please, for the love of God, go crack a freaking textbook?
K thru 12 is designed to cure them of that.
You live by your faith, which is honorable, and in fact is moving.
