Blood donations from people on antiretroviral therapy to treat HIV or pre-exposure prophylaxis to prevent HIV infection could increase risk for HIV transfusion transmission if tests cannot detect the virus in the donations, study results showed.
...
The potential or cause for concern is that ART and PrEP by definition are taken to alter the course of HIV infection; thus, the use of ART or PrEP could impact our ability to detect HIV infection in donated blood because blood tests for HIV measure the presence of viral RNA or antibodies to HIV infection.

As could be expected, the unintended consequences are the bane of these idiotic, agenda-driven policy changes. A lot of statistical language in the article, so someone with this background may be able to weigh in on the translation.

The takeaway from this study is that PEOPLE WHO ARE HIV-INFECTED ARE DONATING BLOOD! And in no small numbers.
How does that even happen?

The government gave me mad cow (Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy) back in the 80s and I am on the permanent CAN NOT donate blood or organs list.
6 gallon+ donations and still refused after 20 years past the half life of the illness.
But faggot blood is OK.

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.
It ought to be inscribed above the doors of CDC, NIH, WHO - just as a warning for continuous humility.

I’m a regular donor with the Red Cross and HIV+ blood is acceptable even if one admits it during the screening process, and we never know if some sicko will try to hide it.

Because, otherwise, it is homophobia. And death is better than the accusation of homophobia. Same with racism. Death is presented as the better option in the two categories. You have to prove you are not homophobic, or you have to prove you are not racism, even if it kills you.

Are you saying that they accept the donation from HIV donors just to make them feel better?

“some sicko will try to hide it.”
They have the mindset of spreading the pain... They are very evil twisted people. A lot of them are members of Antifa.

And death is better than the accusation of homophobia. Thats pretty accurate. But even with the insanely relaxed new guidelines recently announced, that is STILL not good enough for the faggots. They demand NO deferral requirements, even if they get 20 anonymous Grindr dates every night, and go to a couple of fag orgies every weekend.

we never know if some sicko will try to hide it.Rather than relying on honesty, the blood banks need to test for HIV and the presence of drugs which may mask the HIV.

Bill Clinton allowed prisoners to donate blood while he was in Arkansas through Baxter Inc. without HIV screening and his act alone wiped out a majority of hemophiliacs in Canada. We have a Democrat supported precedent for contaminated blood to be used by blood banks.
