James opened an inquiry into The Trump Organization, the president’s holding company, and subpoenaed Deutsche Bank and Investors Bank for records in order to investigate whether he lied about the value of his assets. James hasn’t spoken publicly about the case, and no lawsuit has been filed.

How do you lie about the value of your assets in a banking or insurance arrangement? There isn’t a bank or insurance company in business today that would simply accept a customer’s word for the value of an asset. That’s what appraisals are for.

“My house is worth $20 million!” isn’t going to get you a $20 million mortgage or a $20 million homeowners insurance policy.

Perhaps she’s coming out to say the President is flat broke, all his properties heavily mortgaged? She would most likely then go on to say she is suing the President for misrepresenting his assets - perhaps for fraud? Just guessing from her resume.’ It will cause a real stink if that is what this is. It wouldn’t change who I’m voting for though.
