Further down the article: "Last year, he refused to set up a meeting with President Trumps ally, Rudy Giuliani, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an attempt to find political dirt against Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden."
I suppose the write is real proud of himself for getting what he supposes is a dig in of Trump.
But this dig works against the context in the article, which basically makes Kolomoisky out to be a piece of sh*t.
Then again, maybe the writer is becoming a bit redpilled and doesn't want to let on, so makes sure to throw the Left's scent off by writing this line.

Am I the only person who is having cognitive dissonance between “Cleveland”and “millions of dollars of real estate?”
Cleveland...? Cleveland...? The Mistake by the Lake?
Kolomoisky was accused of laundering hundreds of millions of dollars through real estate holdings in the United States
Which politicians helped him do this?
He had to buy them and bankers to do this.
