The historian Allan Lichtman was the lonely forecaster who predicted Mr. Trump’s victory in 2016 — and also prophesied the president would be impeached. That’s two for two. But Professor Lichtman’s record goes much deeper. In 1980, he developed a presidential prediction model that retrospectively accounted for 120 years of U.S. election history. Over the past four decades, his system has accurately called presidential victors, from Ronald Reagan in ’84 to, well, Mr. Trump in 2016.

They try to make the professor out as goofy and eccentric. He was wrong about Bush v Gore but they excuse that as a fluke of the electoral college. But the professor is not some neutral eccentric genius. He's a leftist, including a raging global warming fanatic which is “scientifically irrefutable” just like his lame predictions.

The problem is that there have not been that many presidents. i.e. ALL models are based on anecdotal information.
My brother told me that Reagan would die in office because every president elected on a year ending in zero died in office.

There is this and yet there as another individual who has also predicted the last 6 or more Presidential elections who also said Trump in 2016 and would win again in 2020.
Of course it all means nothing just as the polls mean nothing these days. It used to be in days gone by that they were at least accurate at the very time they were taken (yes there were exceptions...”DEWEY DEFEATS TRUMAN” because a sincere attempt was made to properly sample the population and people would actually take the time to answer the calls from the pollsters.
Those days are gone.
Reagan missed dying in office by less that a quarter of an inch. To close for comfort.
